What is the best material to make a projector screen?
You can use a white sheet of paper roll photographer (is used for backdrops) by Article 1 of the link. Or you can do what I did and paint a blank wall with Behr "Silverscreen" paint mixed with Behr White Opal Pearlescent (3:1), applied in three layers with a soft foam roller and carefully into the intermediate sanding. The results are so good that I'm not sure that I will never buy a screen (although it had every intention of painted screen to be only a stopgap). The advantage of painting can customize the color and redo if you do not like … and it is inexpensive (<$ 50). The downside is that you can not move.
