rear speaker placement

I am restoring a '69 Alfa GT Jr. My question is, what is a good speaker mounting surface and where I put them?

Staging is not important to me only a certain amount of fidelity. I do not want to cut any door or rear panel of speaker placement. I have a radio vintage Blaupunk I'm changing to accept the entry of an iPod. Also increase the power of the amplifiers.

you could make a center counsol fiberglass and put em on that. I think they look great and can be removed if you wanted.
